Glittering fairy lights announce Grey Lynn’s perennial favourite catch up spot, the Gypsy Tea Room. Nestled amongst the neighbourhood hub of the West Lynn shops in Grey Lynn, Auckland. Open 7 nights a week, it is the perfect place to come and unwind after a hard day at work or play, a prelude to a night out, or to hang out for the evening.
There is a well considered wine list, an interesting range of beers and a back bar of spirits and liqueurs to make the perfect drink or your favourite cocktail including our unique Teapot Cocktails.
A tasty bar snack menu is available at all times (see the Amuse-gueules page), whilst air conditioning inside and heaters outside mean a comfortable environment all year round.

Great local vibes bar. Service is always spot on, friendly and always good banter. Whether a cold lager out front in the summer, or cosy red wine (or their delightful mulled wine) inside in winter, Gypsy is always a good time.
I love this place, with it's intimate, bohemian vibe. Great place for after work drinks, we had tall gins and shared a pizza, both very nice thank you!
A timeless classic. Fairly priced with great service. Wonderful location, building and terrace. Adored by locals and visitors alike.
A stylish, sophisticated intimate bar. There should be more like this in Auckland! Highly recommend it.

Small function bookings are welcomed. The smaller back room is reserved for your exclusive use for up to 25 people. For larger groups, the back room is reserved for your guests and the main bar and outside area is shared with other patrons. For the comfort of all guests and patrons, we accept bookings to a maximum number of 40 people. Please note we do not hire out the entire venue.
